As a former small business owner in the hospitality industry, I know that customers need to find you and choose your product or service from all the other options out there. One of the best ways to do that is by providing useful, engaging online content that converts visitors to customers.
What is effective content marketing?
Effective content is something your customers actually want to read.
Compelling content provides useful, interesting and even entertaining information to potential, current, and past customers through your website, blog posts, videos, email newsletters, infographics, e-books, templates, and social media posts. Authentic content helps build trust, maintains relationships and shows that you are the expert/authority and the best choice in your industry.
What’s different about me?
There are lots of large online marketing companies out there who will promise you big results — I know because I used one. I remember thinking that they must know more than me about how to present my business because they were the experts.
But they never wrote in a voice that sounded anything like me. Their focus was on content quantity and not quality.
I know there is no greater expert on your business than you. With my help, you can have high-quality content that is tailored to your business, keeps you visible, and converts visitors to customers.
After earning an MBA degree, I spent the first part of my career working in marketing, fundraising, and business operations for both large and small nonprofit organizations in the Boston area. In 2005 I moved to Maine with my husband Tony (a professional chef) and together we owned and operated a successful inn and restaurant for over a decade. I am passionate about Maine and its abundance of outdoor activities, food and beauty.
I use my experience and expertise to write high-quality content for businesses primarily in the hospitality, real estate, and tourism industries. I live on the DownEast coast and in Portland at different times of the year where I enjoy all the great things that life in Maine has to offer. Farm to table dining, unique lodging options, dream homes, specialty food products, kayaking, hiking, and skiing adventures — you name it!
In my free time, you can find me on the slopes of Sunday River, hiking the trails of Acadia National Park, perusing farmers markets, trying the latest new restaurant in Portland, searching for the next best lobster roll, running an Airbnb, and trying to keep up with my very active husband.
